How to create your account on WPTAPL Online: a quick overview of getting started.
You may have already completed some or all of these steps:

• Go to the website at http://www.wptapl.com and choose your Country.
• LOG IN to your MyAPL Page using the LOG IN area at the top right of the home page using your Member ID# and MyAPL Password. (if you have an AOL, Comcast or Roadrunner email you MUST contact WPTAPL to create your password and log-in)
• Once logged in to your MyAPL account, look for the tab “ONLINE EVENTS”.
• In the "ONLINE EVENTS" Section, you will see a list of upcoming events including QORT and weekly free roll events. (on the right, below the image of a poker table).
• Make sure you are qualified for an event. A GREEN checkmark will appear next to any event that you have qualified for.
• If you have the GREEN checkmark, the password will appear next to the GREEN CHECK 24 hours before the event.
• Click the "LAUNCH WPTAPL ONLINE" Button (The graphic with the picture of the poker table)
• Lobby will load, and then a SIGN IN SCREEN will appear.
• If you have not registered an account on this software you need to click the "CREATE NEW ACCOUNT" Button.
• You will need to provide a SCREEN NAME, FILL IN REQUIRED INFO, ENTER e-MAIL, and Pick a Password to create your new PLAYER ACCOUNT.
• Once you have a SCREEN/PLAYER name, then log in to the software.
• You may LOG OUT of the poker software now or browse the RING GAMES (free play games).
• Once logged out of the poker software click “MEMBERS AREA” in the WPTAPL Website (or MyAPL Page).
• Click the “PROFILE” tab, and then click the “UPDATE MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION” link.
• Verify / Update your WPTAPL Membership information and include your new SCREEN NAME for WPTAPL Online.
• You have now created a WPTAPL Online Account and Screen Name. You are now ready to register for the event.

How to register for a tournament once logged on to WPTAPL Online:  Logged in vs. Registered; being logged into the software does not mean you are registered for a tournament!

• Login to your MyAPL Page then click the ONLINE EVENTS tab.
• View the “Are You Invited” section on the right side of the page below the table graphic that says “launch WPTAPL Online” to see if you are qualified for the event.
• Once you qualify for an event a Green checkmark will appear next to that event verifying you are qualified.
• 24 hours prior to the event Your Tournament Password will be listed to the right of the GREEN checkmark; DO NOT SHARE THIS PASSWORD FOR ANY REASON!
• Once you have the PASSWORD click “LAUNCH WPTAPL ONLINE” and login using your PLAYER ACCOUNT information.
• IMPORTANT:  LOGGING INTO THE SOFTWARE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR A TOURNAMENT
• Once you are in the software, click the TOURNAMENTS Tab
  (Third tab to the right under the text “WPTAPL World Poker Tour Amateur Poker League”).
• Once on the TOURNAMENTS Tab, click the Event that you wish to register for.
• When you click on the event three buttons will appear on the bottom right of the dialogue box, the bottom button will say “register: Click it.  
• A window will open that asks if you wish to buy in for 0, Click YES.
• Another window opens asking for the TOURNAMENT PASSWORD (the one that was listed by the GREEN CHECK), enter the password and click OK.
• You are now registered for the event and your screen name will appear in the “waiting” area for that event (waiting area is listed to the left of the “register” button).
• NOTE: Once registered the “register” button will change to read “unregister”.  This is an easy way to confirm whether you are in fact registered or not: If the button reads “register” you still need to register. If the button reads “unregister” you are registered for the event and don’t need to do anything else.
• Make sure you are back in the tournament lobby before the actual event starts.
• When the event starts you will be automatically seated at your table

How to use Free Roll Tokens for Platinum members:  Use them anytime you don’t qualify.

• Platinum members receive “Free Roll Tokens” when they upgrade allowing them to participate in a limited number of Free Rolls without having to qualify.
• To redeem a Free Roll Token you will need to login to your MyAPL Page and click on the “online events” tab.
• The WPTAPL Online Event Schedule is on the left side of the screen and shows all upcoming events and provides the details of each.
• If you are a Platinum member will see a green button appear next to the event that reads “redeem a Free Roll Token” approx 12 hours before the event starts.
• To use a Free Roll Token you simply click on this button. You will be directed to a screen asking that you confirm this is the event you wish to redeem a Token for.
• If this is the correct event click “yes” and you will be taken to a screen where you will be provided the PASSWORD for that event.
• NOTE: Write down the password as once you close that page you will be required to redeem another Free Roll Token to see it again.
• Once you have the password follow the directions under “how to register for a tournament”.

NOTES and TIPS about WPTAPL ONLINE: Make your experience is a good one!

• SHOW UP EARLY!  Login a minimum of 15 minutes before the start of the event to assure that everything is ready.  If you login minutes before the event you are setting yourself up for failure!
• On occasion server errors and/or event settings may require that we “reset” an event. If required, this will UNREGISTER anyone that was previously registered for the event. Arrive early and make sure that you are still registered for the event to assure that you will be seated at a table when the tournament starts.
• The gaming platform is integrated into the WPTAPL website and does NOT require any download to participate in events.
• The platform is BROWSER BASED. This means that the performance of the software is based on your PC being up to date. Please make sure you have the latest version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. Also verify that you have the latest ADOBE FLASH updates (you can download the latest version at www.adobe.com).
• If the software freezes on you during the event, just click REFRESH on your browser, login again, and you will be reseated; A slow connection may cause sever lag and repeated disconnects.  Broadband speeds or better work best.
• The platform does not allow for ANY financial transactions. This allows for compliance with state and Federal laws*.
• All tournaments have a maximum capacity of 1,000 players. Make sure and register early (starting 24 hrs prior to event).
• Winners that have listed their WPTAPL Online Screen Name in their Profile will be notified within 14 days after the event with information on collecting their prize.
• Your Screen Name and Software Password does NOT have to be the same as your MyAPL Login Information.

QORT events offer a bonus prize to upgraded members of a seat in the WPT Celebrity Invitational (where you can play for $200,000 and a $25K WPT Champions Event Seat)!
